Extra Amount On Checkout – Documentation

General

After install  and activate the plugin, go to WooCommerce menu and find Extra Amount on Checkout sub-menu.

Note: Do not activate Free version and Premium version at the same time. Deactivate one version before activate the another version.

Press ‘Add New Amount‘ to add new amount for the checkout page.
Click on ‘Edit‘ pencil icon to edit any previously added amount.
Click on ‘Delete‘ pencil icon to remove any amount.

Fields

Name / Title / Label

This mandatory filed is used to specify for which purpose the amount is charged. This field is visible to Checkout page, Order completion page, and Order details page. Our recommendation is not to use big length sentence on this field, instead of using ‘XYZ category product’s shipping cost’, use only ‘Shipping Cost’, but its just a recommendation only, final call is yours, you can use any length of sentence for extra amount on WooCommerce checkout page.

One-line Short description

This non-mandatory filed is not used for any front-end pages. It’s only viewable for admin. The main purpose of this field to write one line description to identify the particular extra amount among many. By this field at a glance into back-end listing admin can recognize any extra amount for WooCommerce checkout page.

Amount

This mandatory fields take the positive amount. The amount may be in integer number or may be a floating number. Like, 10 or 10.2 both are acceptable. This amount applies as an extra amount on WooCommerce checkout page.

Amount applied as

This fields used to define how the extra amount will be applied into WooCommerce cart subtotal, it may be a percentage of the cart total or may be a fixed amount. Choose either ‘Fixed cost on total cart value’ in case if you want to apply a fixed amount on cart subtotal, or  ‘Percentage cost of total cart value’ for applying a percentage of cart subtotal amount on the WooCommerce checkout page. Choose any one option for your extra amount on WooCommerce Checkout page.

Amount applicable based on

The extra amount can be applied on WoCommerce cart sub total based on 5 different condition.

  1. Product Specific.
  2. Product Type Specific.
  3. Category Specific.
  4. Shipping Location Specific.
  5. Payment Gateway Specific.

You can choose one condition or more than one condition for each extra amount.
We are now going to discuss each condition in details into the below sections.

Amount applicable based on - Product Specific

Extra amount on WooCommerce checkout can be applied based on the individual product available into the cart. Admin can choose one or more product for each extra amount. Advanced drop-down in-search option is available to make it more user-friendlier. At a glance WooCommerce product specific extra fees can be applied through this plugin.

Amount applicable based on - Product Type Specific

Extra Amount on WooCommerce checkout can be applied based on the product type available on the cart. All product type ( like, Simple, Variable, Subscription etc. ) can be chosen for each extra amount. So in one line WooCommerce product type specific extra amount can be applied through this plugin.

Amount applicable based on - Category Specific

WooCommerce product category specific extra amount can be applied. To do this admin have to toggle on the ‘Category Specific’ option, and choose the desired one or more category, for each extra amount, which will be applied on the WooCommerce cart subtotal on checkout page.

Amount applicable based on - Shipping Location Specific

WooCommerce shipping location specific extra amount or fees can be applied through this plugin. Admin needs to toggle on the ‘Shipping Location Specific’ option, and choose the Country, Zip, and State(if needed). All the WooCommerce Country, State is available here. In case of add the ZIP code, just write the code into the input box, and make a enter to add new one.

Amount applicable based on - Payment Gateway Specific

WooCommerce payment gateway specific extra amount or fees can be applied. To do this admin have to toggle on the ‘Payment Gateway Specific’ option, and choose the desired active payment gateway, for each extra amount, which will be applied on the WooCommerce cart subtotal on checkout page.

  1. E’ possibile impostare una fee per ogni singolo articolo? Intendo applicare una fee fissa sulla quantità.
